Role (Overview of the Position)

Due to growth an excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Commercial Insurance Advisor in the Dudley area to join a genuine family run business, who are highly regarded within their industry and local area. 

The Brokers are commercially orientated who provides insurance services ranging from SMEs to large risks, as such the position will be in sales focusing on varied commercial risks.

We operate from a modern office in the Dudley area and is situated next to local restaurants and leisure facilities with the local train station, bus services and tram line accessible. 

Responsibilities (Tasks Associated with the Role)

  • General administration of policies including mid- term adjustments
  • Taking first notification of claims
  • Answering incoming calls and customer queries
  • Experience of working own / existing renewals is desired

Requirements (Expected Proficiencies)

  • Proactive and able to prioritise and effectively manage own workload
  • A proven track record in commercial insurance
  • Confident in selling and upselling insurance product (support can be given for the right candidate)
  • Ideally someone looking at progressing towards the CII qualifications
  • Able to deliver a great customer journey, with the ability to communicate to a wide spectrum of clients, making connections and building relationships
  • Have excellent attention to detail
  • Flexible in day-to-day duties to get the job done
  • Set targets to be met
  • Self-lead generation will be required however some leads will be provided

Qualifications

  • CII or working towards desirable

Skills

  • Strong communication
  • Building relationship easily with clients & customers

Experience

  • Acturis experience is beneficial but not essential
  • Experience of working own / existing renewals is desired
  • Previous Broker experience
  • Commercial Insurance Experience

FCA –  all candidates need a clear financial history & no criminal conviction
