Work on offer in a day nursery

  • Permanent – PT or FT – hours of work between 7.00am – 6.45pm Monday to Friday
  • SEN- contracts until July 22. Working with children with different needs
  • Temporary – agency work – work offered on the day and in advance of the day between he hours 7.00am – 6.45pm
  • Must hold a full and relevant childcare qualification minimum level 2

Nursery Nurse Assistant Responsibilities (Tasks Associated with the Role)

  • Supply work – work will be offered in advance of the booking, the week before, the day before and on the day depending on what availability you have to work.
  • To work on a day to day, short / long term basis within nursery settings in the areas you feel happy to travel to-we have clients local to you!
  • Work will vary from advance shifts to calls on the day
  • Deliver the EYFS making sure all needs of children are met to the highest standard
  • Communicate with parents and carers to meet the needs of children
  • Responsible for carrying out planned activities
  • Responsible for the children’s learning and development and complete observations
  • Spending time reading to children, telling stories or listening to them
  • Providing comfort and reassurance if children are ill or upset.
  • As a nursery nurse, you would be responsible for the wellbeing of children, so you’ll be required to monitor them closely and report any issues that are a concern.

Results (Expected Accomplishments) for the Nursery Nurse Assistant

  • To work in very busy settings with children aged between 0-5.
  • Support children’s learning and development by following the EYFS curriculum
  • Provide stimulating activities for children in your care
  • Support children in their day-to-day routines in childcare settings
  • Show initiative in every booking – don’t wait to be told what to do – be a part of the team you are working with
