Level 2 Gymnastics Instructor 

About the gymnastics instructor position

  • Casual work- 4 – 10 hours on offer across leisure centres in the Dudley borough
  • Be responsible for the delivery of a quality gymnastics programme as laid down by British Gymnastics and as directed by Sport and Physical Activity Section
  • Effectively communicate with children, parents / guardians, colleagues and management on gymnastics related issues 
  • Ensure all classes operate within the Local authorities Health and Safety Guidelines
  • To supervise all users ensuring that Health and Safety standards are maintained
  • To support, supervise and mentor Assistant Gymnastics Coaches / volunteers where appropriate
  • Ensure that all equipment provided is in good order, set up correctly and that it is appropriately issued, maintained and stored after use
  • Ensure all administration procedures are carried out in the correct manner including the maintenance and upkeep of registers
  •   Notify / report to appropriate person, any unusable, damaged or defective equipment
  •  You will adhere to Dudley Council’s policy on corporate identity and represent the council accordingly by wearing correct uniform at all times
  • Uphold the Section’s Vision, Values and Policies
  • Attend staff training or meetings when required by the Centre Manager
  • Carry out any other duties commensurate with the salary grade and responsibility of the post

Requirements for the gymnastics Instructor position

  • Must hold a relevant qualification- level 2 
  • Have previous experience in a similar job role
  • Willing to undertake an enhanced DBS
