Childcare Practitioner – 2 positions available at different settings.

Overview of the Childcare Practitioner job

• Must be qualified with a level 3 in childcare or higher

• Based in smethwick
• Work in a pre school setting between 8.30am – 3pm, Mon – Fri, term time only
• Have a group of key children: plan, observe, next steps, link the EYFS
• Build good relationships with parents and be committed to having positive parent partnerships
• Work in a small team, reporting to the manager of the setting
• Working with children aged between 2 -5
• Support children in becoming school ready
• Liaise with any outside agencies where appropriate
• Know your responsibilities to safeguarding and who to report concerns too should you ever need and the right way to report / record a concern
• Working with the EYFS daily

• Provide stimulating activities for children in your care
• Support children’s learning developments as well as being caring and nurturing
• Salary: £8.72per hour
